SIGNING & WAYFINDING

Sign design has become one of Rock Cove Design's mainstays. Signing incorporates graphic design with civic architecture and as a result occupies a rather unique place in the design spectrum. We have been lucky to help the City, County and Port provide a cohesive and complimentary system of signing.

Rock Cove Design's first large contract was producing a Wayfinding Master Plan for the City of Stevenson. We - working with a design committee - produced a 60 page Master Plan and designed nearly 100 wayfinding signs. Most of the 15 vehicular directional signs are up, as are a couple of the pavement markers and amenities signs. A kiosk for East Point Park is in production and should be up in early fall 2016.

Other signing in the Stevenson area includes Skamania County's recent sign additions, such as the Hegewald Center, Courthouse Annex, and all of the West End Transit (WET) signing. The Port of Skamania's Stevenson Landing sign on the southern tip of Stevenson's pier is beginning construction soon. A wayfinding system for the Port of Cascade Locks' waterfront has been designed and the address plaques for the Portage Road buildings should be up anytime.
